If you're wandering through the charming streets of South Yarra, make your way to La Parisienne Pâtés, a delightful café that promises not just coffee and pastries but a taste of France right in Australia. Nestled at 15/17 Toorak Rd, this cozy haven invites you in with its warm ambiance and a menu brimming with tempting treats.

Step inside and breathe in the rich aroma of expertly brewed coffee mingled with the scent of fresh pastries. La Parisienne specializes in French-inspired dishes that create a lovely balance between comfort and indulgence. The star of the show is undoubtedly their famous Duck Pie, complemented perfectly by creamy mash and a vibrant salad, all for just $25—a steal for such a hearty meal. One customer, Steven, raves about it being the “best pies” he’s had in a long while, with intentions to try everything on the menu during his weekly visits. Now that’s a ringing endorsement!

For those seeking something lighter, the French Blue Cheese Quiche served with a dressed arugula salad is another noteworthy option. Although one foodie noted the pastry was a bit on the dry side, the smooth and mild cheese custard more than makes up for it, creating a delectable dish perfect for a casual lunch.

No visit is complete without indulging in their stunning array of pastries. Customers like Josie reminisce fondly about their exceptional coffee, croissants, and pain au chocolat, highlighting how they miss spending weekends at La Parisienne. And don't overlook the Chocolate Éclair, which pairs beautifully with their Schibello flat white coffee, despite a few mixed reviews about the pastry itself.

For a sweeter finish, try the Iced Mocha alongside the delightful mini cakes inspired by Ferrero Rocher and caramel, a treat that customer Daniela insists you simply cannot miss. The attentive staff here enhances your experience, ensuring that you feel welcomed and well-cared for, whether you're settling down to work or simply savoring a leisurely afternoon.

La Parisienne Pâtés isn't just a café; it's a charming melting pot of French flavors that creates a lovely atmosphere, whether you're grabbing a quick bite or indulging in a long coffee chat with friends. Trust the locals—this is a place worth visiting, not only for the quality of food but also for the warmth and hospitality that leaves you wanting more. So, next time you find yourself near South Yarra, make sure to stop by and discover why this café is the toast of the town!

A simple lunch of the French Blue Cheese Quiche and salad of dressed roquette. Came sizzling and frothing on top straight from the microwave. The pastry was a little dry, but the cheese custard was smooth, tasty and mild in flavour. Very nice. $15.50 Then decided on the Chocolate Éclair with their Schibello brand flat white coffee. Unfortunately, again, the pastry was not a choux, but rather heavy and the custard had no flavour. Pity. $8.50 $4.50 Took away the Chicken and Leek Pastie, warmed, which I had later. Delicious. $9. I will go back soon, as I have other business close by, and will try other foods. Bought a tin of French lemon drops, but not yet tried.

You have to visit this place, don't lose the opportunity to taste the Iced Mocca and the Caramel and Ferrero Rocher mini cakes. The attention was very nice and patient and the place is perfect to work a bit with your lap in a quite place.

For $25 I got a duck pie, mash, salad and a coffee. Was amazing. Best pies I've had a long time. There heaps of options too. Girls serving were great. Great coffee Definitely recommend. I'm in the area weekly so I'll be trying everything. If you see a gardener staring lovingly a a pie that's me. Say hi.

We just moved away from South Yarra and this is honestly the place we miss the most. Excellent coffee, excellent croisants, pain au chocolat’s and quiches. Could go on… also the pricing is great for the quality of the product. Service has always been great. I really miss coming for our weekend coffee and pastry. Will be back soon hopefully! Merci !

Just grabbed some foie gras here for the first time, had no idea how to eat it, but the staff were patient and helpful. Learned a bit more about French culture too. Thank you :-)
